About the candidate.
With his former boss frequently in Washington, DC, Socrates Solano helped serve as Rep. Charles Rangel's eyes and ears in his district. That was including everything from hearing out constituents at town hall meetings, dealing with their issues with postal service, housing, or helping our immigrant families avoid deportation.
Socrates cut his teeth working for then Senator Hillary Clinton, City Council Spearkers Peter Vallone and Giiford Miller. Before joining Rangel's office in 2007, Socrates worked as a Criminal Justice Coordinator for The Doe Fund, a non-profit that helps the homeless get off the streets and ex-offenders reintegrate into society. There, he empowered men to reclaim their lives and witnessed first hand the plight of those who ultimately tested their realities against policies government puts into practice.
Socrates continues to want to use his voice to be a speaker for the less fortunate. Join our campaign and his efforts to uplift our communities in the Bronx and beyond.
